Cap’n Bluster, Bullyboy, Blunderbuss, Blowhard, and Bob the parrot are the loudest pirates on the seven seas. But not their cabin boy. Barnaby is a quiet pirate, who watches, listens, and thinks. This is a wonderful tale for young pirates who are outwardly shy, but really want to be loud and proud like the other pirates. The story entices readers to act out the words – shouting and whispering as the case may be. The colorful artwork realistically portrays pirates and gives each one individual personality. The large illustrations make it easy for listeners to view whenever the story is read aloud. Look carefully at them too, for even the rats are pirates.
